RL550B Partial Order

PreviousPage 3 of 4Next

chrisknight - I totally agree. If they are holding shipment of presses to wait for dies, that is outrageous. How do they know we don't already have dies, or can obtain dies elsewhere?

They might be holding orders for "completeness", but I also disagree with that - under these extraordinary conditions. Ship what you have, when you have it. Why should we have to wait for our press because a bullet tray (for instance) is not yet available?

I suspect that most of us would be willing to incur some additional (so long as they are fair and reasonable) shipping charges to get our orders shipped in partial, incremental ways.

I did order .38/.357 dies with the press order from Dillon. I did also buy another set of dies off of e-bay in case I found a press elsewhere and would cancel my Dillon order. Did purchase another press the day before I got the Dillon oder, thats why I was very disapointded with Dillon and Fed-Ex that I was not notified of the shipment ! My intention was to cancel out on Dillon. The other seller was understanding and let me cancel

Good luck everyone !!!

I did not order dies. My order consisted of the press, several caliber conversion kits, a deluxe quick change assembly, and several toolheads.
I received the caliber conversions fairly quick.
My other items are showing as 2 shipments, FedEx estimates delivery
on 2/12/13.
Strange that orders placed before mine are not being shipped.
I was fully expecting for it to take longer on my order, with the way things
have been lately.
I placed an order with a company for some spare AR-15 parts on 1/7/13
and have not heard a word yet.
Seems like all the retail companies are either backlogged with orders or they are just completely out of stock on everything with no back-order available.

I as well did not order any dies. Only extra tool heads and conv. kits. Thinking that is what is keeping orders behind in shipments.  Good luck to everyone.

Just got my email from Dillon with my FEDEX tracking #. Ordered a 550B, Strong Mount, Cartridge Case Bin and Mount, Bullet Tray and Alum.Roller Handle. Ordered on Jan. 20th. Hope the guys that ordered before me get the same email soon !!!

Glad to see you guy's are getting e-mails. This has been a main issue for me that I did not !
My full order was over $700.00 and I know many of you have at least that or more ordered, but you would think you would at least get a THANK YOU from Mr. Dillon !
Maybe he lost my e-mail address ??

This is becoming a little upsetting. Orders placed 9 days after my order, for the same equipment, are being shipped and mine isn't.

This goes against everything I had heard about Dillon's reputation for customer service - and frankly was a big reason for choosing Dillon over the other press makers. They even said they would ship orders in the order received... that does not seem true.

They may claim their warranty is "no BS", but so far I smell a lot of BS...

I totally agree with you ( dcrout ) !
This forum topic has generated more response than I could find in any other forum topic lately. I think Dillon should start responding with some answers.

Quite simply, as equipment is built, the inventory is allocated to the oldest orders first. once all the products for a specific order are allocated, the order ships. Say customer A has a machine and a conversion kit placed on January 3rd, customer B has a machine, a conversion kit and a case cleaner placed the same day. Customer B could ship first if all three parts are allocated, whereas customer A might still be waiting for a conversion kit, if in a different caliber. The machine is being held to fill his order, but until the conversion kit is available it won't ship.
