Rouge in polishing compound effect on powder

I've always used crushed walnut shells, without any polishing compound. I see one brand adds rouge to it's polishing compound. I won't use that because of the mess it causes, but I wonder.

Does the rouge that is added, in any way, affect the shelf life of a loaded cartridge?

The problems rouge causes are if any remains on the brass it will first polish, then wear the chamber. If you tumble loaded rounds, the bullets will quickly wear the barrel out.
