RR1200 Hitting Toolhead Pin
Quote from Reloader on February 26, 2015, 4:00 amHi,
I have been using a 550b for over 10 years and finally bit the bullet and got a RT1200 trimmer to help expedite the process.I got the 223 adapter set correctly, then got the trimmer adjusted to the right height, but when i went to put the vacuum adapter on, it hits the retention pin for the tool head, keeping it up above the vent ports for the 223 adapter.
Do I need to drill a hole so that it fits around the bottom of the 223 adapter and the retention pin, or do I leave out the toolhead pin?
I didn't want to process too many casings before I get this resolved. I've got about 700 casings that need to be trimmed.

Quote from Reloader on February 26, 2015, 7:51 pmHow high is the knurled top of the toolhead pin above the top of the frame? On early RL550s the pin was taller, and a good amount of the shaft of the pin was visible above the top of the frame. Years ago the pin was shortened, so the bottom of the head of the pin barely clears the top of the frame.

Quote from Reloader on February 26, 2015, 8:17 pmThe toolhead pin has about a 1/2" tall knob that sticks above the frame. I believe this is part 14008. It would need to be about 1/8" perhaps 3/16" tall to clear the vacuum port.
