RT 1200/RT1500 shaft change?
Quote from Reloader on July 6, 2014, 10:19 pmCan the shaft be changed from long to short or the other way around on these trimmer?
I have the 1050 and from what I am reading there is no toolhead made yet for converting 5.56 to .300 Blackout. I do not wish to modify my toolhead and wanted to use the long version CH 4D die and a long shaft RT 1500 trimmer to do the work but, also wanted to be able to trim 5.56 without having to buy a whole other trimmer.

Quote from Reloader on July 7, 2014, 6:32 pmAt this time Dillon has no plans to offer a long shaft version of the RT1500 Trimmer. As is, there are no issues in using the RT1500 on your 105 to trim 223. We will have modified 1050 toolheads later this year to allow trimming of 300 Blackout.

Quote from Reloader on July 8, 2014, 12:33 amThanks for the reply. Would you by chance know if the design of your modified toolhead will be much different than those that are offering a service to mod toolheads by just cutting away a section of the toolhead? Also would you have a idea of the price range that you will be offering these toolheads at? I ordered the RT 1500 and 223 trim die last night and am looking forward to trying it out.
