SDB Primer Slide Adjustment

SINCE I am still having issues with primers.  I'm going to ask a question on primer slide adjustment.  Is the 1.41 measurement to the top of the CUP or with the cup compressed and to the top of the primer punch part 13967.  Have had runs of 700 or so rounds before started having issues then have to replace the red tip on the primer feed.  Thoughts?

This measurement is uncompressed.

I have the same problem , I bought a used Dillon square deal and loading 9 mm, I broke the plastic tip on the small primer tube assembly twice after only loading 200 rounds, I already used the extra part that comes with the square deal b spare parts kit.

Do I need to adjust the primer slide adjustment?

Can I buy spare plastic blue tips in case it happens again? its working ok at the moment loaded around 100 rounds since the last one was broken.

Thanks

Robert

i broke mine once using the large primer tip prematurely. what i noticed is that, although it only goes in one way you can twist it/ jam it in by over tightening the top cap of the primer chute which twists the primer rod and tip in the bottom causing the failure.I hope this helps. Phipp13
