Shell plate advance rough
Quote from Reloader on May 10, 2015, 1:39 pmMy plate is grabbing on three of the station holes and smooth on the rest. Just
I polished the ball, reset the plate holder and greased it again. It is 6 years old. I just purchased a new plate for 270 rounds and noticed that the countersink on the bottom of the alignment holes is smaller than the old shell plate. Is this a upgrade on the new plates.

Quote from Reloader on May 12, 2015, 2:59 amIt is very rough and jolting. Like the ball is not pushing down and then suddenly does, makes a crunch noise and then flings powder around, enough to spill powder
I cut some of the spring off to reduce the up force pressure
This loader has done over million rounds thru it and just started to do this
With the plate upside down and the ball in the alignment hole it measured 0.011 more than the new 270 plate. Using the new plate and old ball and uncut spring it runs smooth
Would new spring and ball fix problem?
