shell plate backs off while lowering handle
Quote from Reloader on December 16, 2019, 6:52 pmGot my new SDB setup. Issue is when lowering handle, the shell plate rotates back about and prevents consistent loading. The only thing that makes it work simple is a little nudge on station 1 or 3 until I get the detent click and it will go up. but that shouldn't be happening.
I've already tightened the indexer pawl, cleaned, cleared, and made sure the detent ball was springing and not sticking. Also adjusted the screw on right side of frame for alignment. however alignment is not the issue, the shell plate aligns fine, but clicks back a short distance as I lower the handle. It happens every stroke downward consistently.
Also, since I had it all apart I inspected and made sure all was clean, lubed, and setup as designed.
I'm missing something, please help.
Thank you.
