shell plate srew tightens as I load

Hi

Whybdoes the shellplate screw tighten as the shellplate rotates when I am loading?

This only started happening yesterday

Thanks in advance for the help

Moe

The shellplate bolt is intended to be fully tightened when the machine is being operated. When the shellplate bolt is tight, the shellplate should still be able to rotate. If it won't, then look for debris or a burr that is locking up the shellplate.

Hey Moe,
Hold the shell plate with your other hand. The friction of turning the screw tends to thighten  the shell plate. When you reach a point where there is a little play, stop and thighten the allen screw. Recheck to make sure there is a little play and you can rotate the plate.
