Shellplate problem?
Quote from Reloader on April 19, 2013, 2:16 amI am getting cases stuck in station 1, the shell plate does not hold on on the up stroke. Before this I had been having problems with the rounds coming out of station 4 pushing the ejection wire out of the way. I switched back to another die set I had and it ran fine. Could not post pics, the shell holder is much rougher than any of the others I have. I got this on a trade, I have .38,.45, and .380 sets that have given me no problem. I am not sure how to "buff out" the burrs to prevent the station 4 stroke sticking and fix the station 1 issue. Any ideas?

Quote from Reloader on April 19, 2013, 4:45 pmwhat caliber? What shellplate number? On the ejector wire, be sure the wire goes behind the shellplate bolt, not across the shellplate bolt.

Quote from Reloader on April 19, 2013, 10:00 pmIt was a #5 for 9mm. The wire was correctly placed, the first time it tried to come back to station 1 I thought I may not have seated it completely. When I changed out the dies to .38 sp, everything works as it should.

One thing I found that may help others. If you get a case stuck in the #1 die, remove the toolhead and remove the #1 die with case. Place in a single stage reloader, in my case a Rock Chucker, and slide the shell holder onto the case and arm at the same time. It pulls out the case easily.
