Shoulder Washer
Quote from Reloader on January 2, 2017, 3:27 amI have issues breaking the shoulder washer. The plastic washer on the fail safe rod. I've broke two thus far.
It is adjusted properly. I load about 100-300 rounds at a time and dump the powder when I'm finished. I think when I take the powder measure off I weaken it. I pop it off with a open end wrench to save my fingers, mine fits in there pretty tight. I don't like leaving powder in the measure, that's why I dump it. I find an excuse to load ammo now with the 650, so I do go down and load at least twice a week. So I'm removing that bushing quite odten.
Anywho, they did not start breaking until I started loading various calibers and began taking the plastic collar off often.
Any advice on how I can stop breaking these, I know it's a warranty item and dillon has been fantastic about sendng me a new one, but it's kinda my fault why they break.

Quote from Reloader on January 2, 2017, 5:54 pmWhen I want to drain my powder hopper, I fine it easy to loosen the two cap head screws that hold the powder measure in place. Then with a tilt of the powder measure (after lowering the main operating handle halfway) I separate it from its operating rod. That way I do not have to remove the tight fitting washer you break, and the powder measure always returns to the same spot with no adjustment to charge necessary. And, lastly, no special tools are needed.

Quote from Reloader on January 3, 2017, 1:13 amIt comes with instructions. Basically you press the drain bar next to current bar and press the current bar backwards. Catch one last powder drop in a case under the powder funnel and then put container up to drain hole and capture the rest of the powder.
Sure beats taking the toolhead off.

Quote from Reloader on April 21, 2017, 4:42 pmFinding the same issue, continually breaking this piece. It happens to me when reloading, seems the piece drops out of the slot it's held in and on the upstroke, breaks when trying to go back into the hole.
