Side slack in the ram
Quote from Reloader on April 20, 2017, 5:33 pmIf the ram operating arm is moved slightly in a lateral movement while stroking the ram, I get poor alignment with the primer bar. Is there a way to remove this slack for better alignment? It seems to be in pin that holds the operating system to the base.
Thanks for your help.

Quote from Reloader on April 21, 2017, 2:35 pmHow are the link arms secured to the lower pivot pin, by E-clips or nylock nuts? If nylock nuts, then they can be tightened more to reduce movement. The older E-clip design relied on bowed washers to take up any play. They can wear down after a few hundred thousand rounds.

Quote from Reloader on April 24, 2017, 1:33 amIt's the old model. Bought it in the early 90s. It has wave washers on either side of the pin and that seems to be where the slack is coming from. . I was thinking of shimming it with some type of washer. Are the wave washers a replacement part, if so what is part number. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary

Quote from Reloader on May 6, 2017, 12:07 amI received the parts (no charge) to remove lateral slack in the ram. Also included was an alignment tool. My 550B is over twenty years old and has loaded many a 1000 of 45acp, 38special and 9mm. When Dillon says, "Lifetime Warranty", they mean it. I don't know why anyone would consider purchasing anything other than Dillon. Thanks for the great customer service.

Thanks Dillon!
