slide assembly adj

With ammo becoming harder to find at the local gun store, I figured I dust off my Dillon 650 and re-size some brass I picked up a few years ago.

Current setup is for 45 ACP, Brass is mixed head stamps, once fired,  mostly de-primed, and re-cleaned before use.  I following steps reloading for my 45 acp.  Clean / lube, de-prime (650), clean and hand prime, then load using the 650.

Right now I am noticing issues trying to preform the de-prime / sizing steps.  Brass is not feeding smoothly.  The handle is often hard to move (up / down).  The case insert slide tilts when moving the handle, but seems to "snap" back into position when the stroke is nearly finished.  For emergency lube I have hit the slide assembly with dillon case lube and most of the "drag" when moving the handle vanished.

I have replaced the the slide assembly once due to other issues, I don't think I have de-primed more than 500 rounds sense the assembly was replaced and the h/w cleaned the last time I used it (years ago).

I just removed the slide assembly, not much fowling observed, cleaned, lubed it with sprout turbine oil.

Questions:   What lube should I use on the case insert slide to allow smooth operation?  The lube that I bought with the h/w has turned hard.

What adjustments can I make to keep the slide assembly tracking correctly?

Due to the plastic slide getting pushed from the track, I figure that this part will fail due to it being pushed out of tolerance.

I have started to use some Slipstream grease on most of the friction areas.  It seems to help; but I would say that the camming pin is not centered perfectly on the case slide causing the slide to tilt.

Bump for a response from Dillon

Even after Lube - a brand new slide assembly dose jump track and tilt out of position, but not as often as the slightly older slide assembly without lube.

My best guess is that the camming pin is not centered perfectly on the case slide causing the slide to tilt.

we use aynthetic wheel bearing grease where the plunger slides on the platform rails, as well as on the ramp where the rod slides up-and-down on. Use 30 wt motor oil on the shaft, grease on all other moving parts. remove the cam from the top of the plunger, check for cracks that might allow the plunger to bind.
