Small dent on the door, body shop wants 600, is that normal?
Quote from josestanton on November 6, 2026, 6:20 amSomeone opened their door into mine in the Carrefour parking lot and left a dent about the size of a coin on the rear door. No paint damage thankfully, just a shallow depression. I got a quote from a body shop and they want 600 dirhams which feels insane for something so small. A colleague said I should look into fixing it myself since it's not a crease. I found some Quick DIY hacks to fix car dents at home that mention the hot water and plunger trick and also the hairdryer method, which sounds almost too good to be true. Has anyone actually tried these on a real dent? Did it work or did you just make it worse? I'd rather not risk my paint if it's a gimmick.
