Small Pistol Primers Sticking to Decapping Pin
Quote from Reloader on January 29, 2019, 1:39 amI like to decap my cases before putting them in the sonic cleaner.
I bought a decapping die at the local gun store and some of the primers are not dropping off the decapping pin and are getting pulled back to the brass.
Did anyone run into this problem? What did you do to solve it?

Quote from Reloader on January 29, 2019, 4:47 pmCommon problem. Two ways to deal with it: First, round off any sharp or square edges from the bottom of the pin, so it is less likely to get stuck in the primer anvil. Next, flatten the end of the pin so it doesn't get caught deeper into the primer anvil.

It would be more of a problem if I was reloading right away but I can remove them with my finger nail before I put them in the cleaner.

Quote from Reloader on January 30, 2019, 8:00 pmI did figure out what the problem was.
It was a RCBS decapper not a Dillon. I put the Dillon decapper on and it works fine.
Lesson learned.
