spent primers

I did a search and didn't see any one with this spent primer issue. When decapping and watching very closely and noticing that the chute is in the catching mode, the primers appear to be jettisened out from the force of the spring loaded decapping pin. I did change pins ( 3 times) and tweaked the chute sides. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

When the handle is down, is the chute completely closed at the bottom?

If not, replace the cotter pin the spent primer catcher pivots on with a small safety pin, so that the catcher pivots completely closed. After a while this cotter pin deforms, and the catcher may not close all the way.

Yes, the chute is fully closed at the bottom.

Remove the toolhead, and look down through the hole in the platform where primers fall. Does the spent primer catcher completely block this hole?

Almost. The top of the chute appears a little short at the top.

I made a spent primer chute from a 308 case. Cut it off, petaled the end, bolted it on, and stuck a rubber line on the tapered end. It Works.
