Station 2
Quote from Reloader on October 24, 2010, 3:13 pmOn my 550b at station 2 the case sticks and I have to tap the handle to complete the cycle. The finished product looks fine but I am concerned that I might be damaging the die.I understand that the Dillion dies are carbon so I shouldn't need lube on the case is that correct?I have the die set as the manual describes, with very little bell so I think that part is correct and as I said the finished bullet looks fine and I have had no problems firing them.
Thanks in Advanced for any help.

Quote from Reloader on October 27, 2010, 2:45 pmThis sticking is not unusual when using new brass, as the brass is used the issue goes away. New cases tend to deposit brass onto the surface of the expander portion of the funnel. Use a wire wheel, scotch brite or steel wool to remove the brass buildup. Once clean, wipe the funnel off with steel wool or a scotchbrite pad every 25-35 cases or so to prevent further brass buildup.
