Sticky Powder Drop (E)

My 550B is currently setup for 45ACP. The powder drop sticks in the cases really bad. Its so bad that it tries to lift the bench and when it finally releases on the upstroke that it moves the casing in the first station so much I need to re adjust it to get primers to seat. It is not productive.

The drop sticks on the portion inserted into the case but not the taper that bells the case. I can actually adjust the die for no bell and still have it stick. I'm trying to use once fired brass that was wet tumbled.

Here is what I've tried so far:
- Lube the drop. This lasts for a few rounds but kills my work flow.
- Bought an older style E drop with a different shape. Still sticks.
- Used once fired but not cleaned brass in hopes it would self lube. Still sticks just as bad.
- Multiple manufacturers of casings, even some nickel plated ones. They all stick.

Here's what I have determined so far. Both the new and the old style powder drops are .4475 by my calipers at their largest diameter. So unless I got (2) out of spec drops I think they are as designed.

My next thought is that maybe my sizing die is out of spec. Its hard to get a good reading for the inside diameter of the casings though, and I forgot my outer dimensions (I'm at work now). Does anyone know what my brass should come out of the sizing die at?

If its not the sizing dies I don't know what it could be. Any assistance would be great.

The funnel should be .447"-.449" diameter.

The dimensions of the cases after sizing will vary with brand.  The inside of the Dillon carbide size die at the narrowest point is .4645", +/- .0005".

Clean off the expander portion of the funnel to remove the built-up brass, then try the uncleaned fired brass. The carbon on the inside of the case acts as a lubricant. Wet tumbling removes this, then the cases gall on the funnel.
