All-
Any and all input would greatly be appreciated on this one. I am in bit of a quandary in regards to reloading. I am currently stationed in Hawaii until, more than likely, my retirement in summer of 2015. At the moment my dad has my .40 cal and my .308 M1A in WA state but I want to hold off reloading until after I’m off the island due to the exorbitant fees imposed on shipping and hazmat over the pond. I have ordered a XL650, three quick change kits, instructional DVD, primer tubes (LG and SM) and some other small stuff which has been sent to my dad’s for safekeeping. My current pending purchases are an automatic case feeder (with var. plates), digital scale and case trimmer.
My biggest concern right now is reloading dies. I will eventually like to load 9mm, .40, .45acp, .44mag, .30-30, .308 and .338. I plan to also get a Rock Chucker single stage press for long gun but my main concern is compatibility between the two. I have been doing as much reading on reloading as I possibly can and have Lyman’s 49th as well as searching the web for as much info as I can. So my questions as of yet are;*Is there a standard with die fitment/threads?
*Case prep aside, what are the must have ‘little things’ that one needs to have for the 650?
