strange sizing question
Quote from Reloader on August 29, 2012, 10:20 pmYesterday I went to the range and shot a lot of 223 I loaded on my new 650 press. The ammo shot very well and was more accurate than I expected. ( consistant sub moa shot groups) This was the first crimped ammo that I have ran through my AR15 it worked great. This batch of ammo was also previously sized on the same press
Now the weird stuff comes. when I sized and deprimed the brass the neck wasn't tight enough to hold a bullet. I never changed the adjustment of my sizer die and the last batch of brass I sized came out correct. The only difference that I am aware of is this batch of brass has been crimped with the standard dillon crimp die. when I checked, the size/deprime die was snug to the tool head and not loose.
Please advise.

Quote from Reloader on August 31, 2012, 9:02 pmThe brass had been fired before. I will have to check to see if the sizing die contacts the top of the shell plate when I get home from work.
