Strong mount on bench
Quote from Reloader on May 19, 2009, 6:24 amOk I am going to reply to my own msg because it appears that it did not show up.
I just got my 550B and set it up in my bench directly. I also have the strong mount as well. I was wondering if I should use the mount or just leave it on the bench as is.
Keep in mind a couple of things, my bench is 42" - 43" high approx. Also I feel guilty because my father bought the mount for me with the press.
Just curious what others think as well.
Sorry if this is double posted and actually does show up in the first msg. I am a noob on these forums.
Thank you for your opinions and input.

Quote from Reloader on May 25, 2009, 4:39 pmI would suggest to use it or not use it based on whether or not it will enhance your reloading or become inconvienient. After all you need to be somewhat comfortable in order to concentrate on the reloading process. I have a strong mount on my bench although it's not as tall as yours. And I stand up while operating the machine.
If you must use it then adjust your bench or stand on a wooden block or something to make it a comfortable height.

Quote from Reloader on May 30, 2009, 10:25 pmWell unless your 7'.5" tall, I would not use the strong mount. I'm 6'.0" tall and I tred a 39" bench and all I got was a back ache !. I built this new bench

Its 35.5" tall and I can stand there all day and be happy.
PS: the stool on the side is a bit low for this height. I have made extra legs for the stool so that I can Sit & Reload.
