Stuck case removed - but deprime assembly done
Quote from Reloader on January 2, 2016, 9:23 pmWell last night while trying to resolve problems with my 308, I got a stuck case in the resize/deprime die. I was able to eventually remove the case and save the die, but the deprime assembly/decap pin did not survive. Your online video was helpful for removal, but it would appear the ring slightly cross-threaded or some of the thread broke off at the top and basically damaged the threads all the way out (too bad you can't post pics in here, I took one of the removed case and deprime assembly).
Can I order a new deprime assembly (top and decaying pin, retention clip, and washer) for a 308 Winchester resize/deprime die, or do I have to order an entire new one?
Thanks in advance.

Quote from Reloader on January 24, 2016, 5:21 amI have a similar as described by Tack921 but in my case the only casualties were the carbide expander ball (cracked it) and the de-capping pin on my .223 size and de-prime die. The rest of the assembly survived intact. I will wait for reply as I have three items in my cart for checkout and I would like to save on shipping...(new eliminator scale, powder tricker and extra de-cap pin). I am happy to pay for the carbide expanding ball as it was my error for sticking a cartridge in the first place.
