super swage 600

I am having problems with the instructions for the super swage 600. I am new to reloading and cannot figure out how to set up this machine for 9mm.

What pieces go on the machine and the more important problem that I am having is exactly how do you set it up to actually swage properly. I have already ruined a couple cases (the primers would not seat into the pocket). I know that it must be set too deep, but yet it is barely going in?

This has been frustrating for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It would be nice if the directions were a little more thorough for this machine.

You would best be served by phoning us when you are in front of the swager for assistance.  All swagers are shipped with the small swage rod and small case back up rod installed, for processing 223 cases.

What caliber are you attempting to swage?

where did you find 9MM brass that needed to be swaged at? never seen mil spec 9MM Brass

I run into the occasional mil spec 9mm case, it's so infrequent that I just throw the case into the recycle box rather than fool around with the crimp. I think I've seen 2 in the last year.

I actually have used my super swage 600 on 9mm brass. easily identified on the bottom of the case 9x19 luger instead of 9mm luger. I just keep my SS 600 setup for 5.56x45 which sits right next to my RL550B and if I see that case I de=prime it and then swage put it back into my 550B prime it and I am good to go.
