Not sure where you found crimped, Boxer-primed 6.5 x 55mm brass. All of the crimped cases I've examined in this caliber were Berdan-primed. The swager is not at all compatible with Berdan-primed brass.
The diameter of 6.8 SPC swage rod is .257-.259". The length of the rod below the step is 2.375". You can probably use it for 6.5 x 5mm, but you may have to use a universal depriming die to deprime cases instead of a size die, as the size die might reduce to case neck enough that it won't slide over the rod.
