Switch from .223 to .308

Kind-of a newbie question. I have a 650, and I've been reloading .223 for a while now, over a year. But now I want to start reloading .308. I haven't switched calibers before, and I was wondering what all I need to change in the system (i.e. which parts). I know I'll need the three .308 dies, but what all else do I need? Thanks

BTW, it goes without saying that I'll need to switch cases, powder, primers, and bullets. I'm talking about on the Dillon. 😉

The users manual shows conversion kit: #21094 .308 Win., .30-06 (Page 46). No parts in the conversion kit are the same between the 223 and 308.

If you have a case feed you want: 21075 Large Rifle Plate

The 308 conversion kits has the following parts:
#B Powder Funnel - #13587
#1 Shellplate - #12903
CF Arm Bushing, Rifle, White - #13661
CF Body Bushing, Med - #13604
CF Adapter 30-06, 308, 243, Black - #13541
#1 Station 1 Locator - #13595
#1 Locator Pin(3) - #13930

For the first time conversion I recommend using the manual section: Caliber Conversion Section, starting on page 33.  The step by step will help make sure nothing is skipped and everything gets double checked.   There is a YouTube video or two on conversions, too.

Load Safe!

Thanks! Very helpful. More changes necessary than I thought.

Cheers.

You will also have to change from a small primer to a large primer feed. Those parts were included with your 650 when you bought it and I hope you haven't misplaced them/.
