Taurus handguns
Quote from Reloader on January 6, 2009, 10:06 pmMy wife really enjoys shooting her reliable 9mm 24/7 DAO pistol. And I enjoy shooting my reliable PT99 AFS pistol, which I'm gradually customizing. 🙂
I also have a 62C SS .22LR carbine that is very accurate, quick handling, and just plain fun to shoot.
Yes, I would, and probably will, buy more Taurus products. 😉

Quote from Reloader on January 29, 2009, 11:05 pmI've had a PT99 9mm since the early 90's when they came out. It has about 20,000 rounds through it. I used to shoot IPSC matches with it and it has always been my go to gun for any time I thought I might need a gun with me. I did have one of the locking blocks on the side of the barrel break a few years ago but they took care of it with no problem and put a new one on. As much as I shoot this gun it was n ot unexpected to break a part, as I have on other guns.
Rcently I just bought a .357 tracker for my wife. I'm still during the waiting period, so I can't say how it shoots, but it sure looked and felt nice at the shop.
Some day I hope to buy one of their new PT 1911 pistols. Currently they can only be baught by LE herein Cali because they have not been drop tested.
As you can see, I like Taurus and will buy more of them. I also have many other brands, but I definetly like my Taurus as well as the Glock, S&W & Ruger pistols I own.

Quote from Reloader on September 29, 2009, 10:58 pmI've had a Taurus PT 99 in 9mm since the last 80's. It has had over 20,000 rounds through it. Overall I am very happy with it. Back around the 15 to 18000 round mark I did have one of the locking lugs break off and jam the gun up tight in the middle of a local match. I sent the barrel back and got a new one in the mail with no problems.
Recently I bought one of the newer Taurus revolvers and I am not nearly as pleased with it. The firing pin seems to drag the backs of the cases and it frequently won't spin freely. I am planning to send it back soon to get it worked on.
