Tool Head Stands

I've got an XL650 and an SDB (which is older by far than the 650).  I tried to use the tool head stand with the SDB tool head and it won't sit on the post without falling over.  I had tried using the collar and setscrew, but it still doesn't stay upright.

Has Dillon Precision considered making a tool head stand for the SDB?  If so, I haven't seen it advertised, or if not, could they produce them, or maybe machine a post that would fit the existing tool head stand and installing it or making it a user option to interchange?

We have never offered a toolhead stand for the Square Deal machine, and have no plans to at this time.

I am a little bit taken aback by that.

Dillon offers a quick-change for the Square Deal, just like for the "big boys" in the line.  If I want to use the quick-change on my XL650, I have a toolhead stand to hold them while I'm not using them.  What do I do with the quick-change for the SDB when I'm reloading a different caliber?  I don't want to just lean it against something on the bench or stuff it into a drawer where it might get knocked out of adjustment, not to mention any powder residue being left in the drawer.

Granted, the SDB isn't the top of the line, but if you're going to offer the quick-change, wouldn't it be reasonable to offer a toolhead stand for it?

Just a recommendation.

I have fabricated my own holder for my extra SDB powder measure measure/tooling assembly. I took an 18"x 8" piece of 10 to 14 gauge steel and broke it at a right angle so I had a 4 1/2" horizontal surface; the 3 1/2 inch vertical surface is used to mount the bracket to the wall. On the horizontal surface I removed two U shaped cutouts 2 1/8" wide located about 2 1/2" from each end of the shelf; these are about 3 1/2" deep; these cutouts are used to hang the tooling assembly from the base of the powder measure. On my shelf I utilize the center space for off-bench storage of the SDB loader by installing a 1/4x 1 1/2 carriage bolt to which I secure the loader for storage. All in all it is a very handy and space saving addition to my reloading area.
