Trimming Question
Quote from Reloader on June 19, 2013, 7:14 pmI'm new to progressive reloading and I always trimmed after resizing my rifle cases. how do you get past this on the XL 650 without stopping. Like .223 for instance I would trim to 1.750" then move on to the next stage but the XL is not meant to be done this way it seems. just curious how you folks get around this.

Quote from Reloader on June 20, 2013, 6:50 pmThe Dillon RT1200B Trimmer both full-length resizes and trims at the same time. We suggest setting up a separate toolhead. Put a universal decap die into station 1, the trimmer into station 4. Process all the brass, then swap out toolheads and load it.

Quote from Reloader on December 12, 2013, 8:44 pmI have a 550b and just bought the 1200 case trimmer. My plan is to set up the 1200 case trimmer in station #1 and size and trim then swap out my tool head for the decapping and loading process. My decapping die is a 223 which is what I am loading, not a universal decapper. Is there any reason I can't do this? Basically the brass will go through 2 resizing steps- once in the trimer and once in the decapping.
