Trouble Shooting Misfires
Quote from Reloader on September 27, 2020, 5:00 pmI took my first 10 rounds of .40 off my new 550c to the range this morning to test settings. Disappointing results. Only 1 out of 10 fired. I inspected the misfired rounds and can see a very light primer strike on each. What are the steps for troubleshooting this on the 500c?

Quote from Reloader on September 28, 2020, 12:17 amIf factory ammo works okay, you might be over-crimping. Try taking an empty sized case with just a primer and place it in your chamber through the ejection port with the slide locked back. Fire that and examine the primer strike. If the strike is not light, then that may be your problem.
