Upgading from a Lee to a Dillon 550
Quote from Reloader on October 25, 2011, 1:40 amCurrently using a Lee turret press for loading, and I am thinking about migrating to a progressive press. I load pistol calibers (9mm, 38 Sp., 357 Mag, 44 Sp., 44 Mag, and 45 ACP) and I have all the dies for these calibers. I use the Lee Pro Auto Disk powder measure which works well with the Lee expander/powder through die.
What I was thinking (if this would work) would be to buy the BL 550, the Dillon auto prime system, and the various shell plates and extra 550 tool heads. I would continue to use the Lee dies and powder measure. Would this work???
Thanks.

I have been loading off my 550 for about 3yrs and have all Dillon dies and all the extras like cartridge bin, bullet tray etc.. and I have had zero problems and simply love the fact that I can easily crank out 300rnds in very short order IMHO Dillon makes a very good product and the CS is Top Notch !!!
