Using Hornadyy LNL AP Powder thrower on 550B
Quote from Reloader on May 23, 2012, 4:04 pmOkay, so body din't publish,
My question was I have hearnd that the Honraday Poder Thrower from the LNL AP press is: one more accurate than the Dillon with non-ball powders, 2 - can be mmounted to the Dillon and set up to operate automatically, just like the Dillon powder throweers. Can anyone tell me if 1 or both are true and accurate. If 2 is possible, is it a complicated process or merely a matter of putting it on a Dillon powder die and adaptor.
Also, hte Dillon is a pain to dump the extra powder from. outside of detaching the thrower or sliding the tool head oput, is there an easier way to empty it?

Quote from Reloader on May 29, 2012, 3:37 pmDepending on the the individual powder being used, the Hornady rotary measure is not necessarily more accurate than the Dillon measure. The rotary measure does shear through powder granules better, but this may not improve accuracy. To attach this measure to the Dillon loader, you need the powder measure adapter #20029 and RL450 powder die #20308.
Not usre what issue you have dumping the powder from our measure. We just slide the toolhead out, pour the powder through a funnel back into the powder can.
