Using RCBS Dies

Hello, I ordered dies and a conversion kit for .38/.357. The conversion kit and the quick change came right away (surprised me, I was expecting a longer wait). However the dies are on back order (as expected). I own RCBS .38 special and .357 dies, what is the proper way to set them up with the 550B? The RCBS has a sizing die, Depriming die and a seating/crimping die. Is there a good way to setup the 550B using all of the dies or do I need to deprime on a different machine (rock chucker) and the use the other two dies with the powder on the 550B (or should I just wait until the Dillon dies arrive)? I love my 550B and have had no issues with over 1000 rounds of .45 ACP and 9mm loaded.

Having used both RCBS and Dillon dies ... I prefer the Dillon dies. Worth the wait.

You would need to contact RCBS and get a decap assembly to fit your size die. THen use a size/deprime die in station one, our powder measure at stage two, your seat/crimp at stage three.

Thank you for the information. I think I'll wait for the Dillon dies. I have been very satisfied with the 9mm and .45 ACP.
