Using station one of the Toolhead for the powder die?
Quote from Reloader on October 20, 2019, 3:17 pmI would like to use station one of my toolhead as the powder drop for my 223 shell casing. Why? Because I would prefer to size/decap my 223 case on my Redding Turret press, expand the neck, clean my brass, and use my RCBS automatic priming tool to add a primer. My plan is to use the toolhead as follows: station one to add powder; station two, add a bullet to the case using a Mini Mr. Bullet Feeder; station three, Seat the bullet using a Forster seating die; and station four, Taper crimp the cartridge, with a Redding taper crimp die. Anyone see any problems with this or would you give this a green light? Thank you.

Quote from Reloader on July 19, 2021, 9:18 pmI can not see why it wouldn't work. You would have to use the modified Dillon powder drop that uses the spring instead of the safety rod, or any other powder measure that doesn't use a safety rod. A powder check die or even better yet a lockout die would need to be used in station 2 then.
If anyone has tried this or works the press this way I'd like to hear of their experience doing so.
