Warranty or not?

Why the double standard? I bent the shaft on a .223 carbide depriming die...called Dillon to buy one and they sent me a new one saying it's under the no BS warranty...that was great of them even though its my fault.

Today I broke a depriming pin and buggered up the carbide ball on top of the depriming pin while getting a stuck case out of a .223 carbide die. So I call and today they want to charge me $32 and change and when I asked about the warranty the guy said it was not covered. I broke it yes it's my fault but why get charged for one thing one day and not get charged for something on another day?

Makes no sense to me, is it a No BS warranty or just BS? Don't straddle the fence. Either make me pay all the time or cover it with the no BS warranty.

I've had exactly the same thing happen to me - I was told that rifle decap pins (and expander balls) are not covered by the warranty - but the shafts are. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but it has taught me a lesson in the proper use of case lube. I was able to visit the factory while I was in AZ on vacation, and stocked up on .223 and .308 decap pins (and saved the shipping charges). It would be nice (and I am sure well appreciated) if small parts like these (when not warranty items) could be sent First Class Mail (for under $1) instead of at a rate that can match or even exceed the cost of the part.

Ok so it seems that some parts are warranted and some aren't...as the example you gave about the shaft warranted and not decap pins or balls...

Ok makes sense now but it would be nice if customer service had a published list on their site of what parts are warranted and which ones aren't. Like I said I expect to pay for something I broke whether warranted or not but I can see where others might get bent out of shape when a No BS warranty is given or implied yet it's only for certain things...let's us know what certain things it applies to and what ones do not...saves on confusion and fussing.
