What kind of primer magazine is this
Quote from Reloader on June 14, 2017, 7:27 pmI bought my SD second hand with a 9mm configuration.
My primer magazine has a white plastic end on it and i believe it must be a blue one. I have the feeling that the seller gave me a large magazine primer tube.image: http://imgur.com/a/VxXTE
My questions are, is this the right one (for 9mm)? It feels to big. If i want to replace it with a blue one, do i need a new tube also?

Quote from Reloader on June 15, 2017, 12:12 amAre you talking about the primer pickup tube or the magazine feed on the press? It has been a while since I have seen the older style tip of the magazine feed. When I got my SD back in 1988 all the tips were white. I still have some of the spare tips that I got back then and both of the primer pickup tips are white. Now they are color coded with yellow for small and green for large pickup tubes. The magazine feed tubes that I have are black for both small and large. The new color coded ones are blue for small and red for large. Do you have a caliper? If you do, the outside diameter on the small primer white tube is .243 and for large it is .266 on the ones I have. Or compare the opening size to the primer in the shell to see if it looks large for the primer.
