Which Dillon Reloader is needed for .45-70 Caliber?
Quote from Reloader on April 5, 2021, 5:26 amHi,
I'm new to this Forum.
Looking to buy reloader system, but do not want to make a mistake, as budget is leading factor in decision.
I know I need different dies for each caliber of pistol & rifle, but I need to know if the used 550B model I am considering, is enough for all these calibers:
9mm - Browning 7.62mm - .357 - .40 - .223/5.56mm - .270 cal - 30.06 cal & .45-70 - that's all for now.
Or, do I need to step up to a higher model?
Such as 650/750Really appreciate your knowledge share.
Best regards,

I craft many pistol calibers, along with 7mm-08 Remington, 7mm Remington Magnum, 30-05, and 375 Holland and Holland Magnum which is about the longest "modern case you will run into.
Should you decide to take on some of the double rifle African cartridges, that is a horse of another color.
I suggest you call Dillon directly if you have any more questions regarding press selection.
