Which Size Powder Bar on Dillon RL550B for 300 BLK?
Quote from Reloader on March 26, 2013, 2:32 amI am just getting started to reload and I am wondering if anyone uses a Dillon RL550B to reload 300 BLK and if so, which size powder bar you use. When I called Dillon to tell them what I was reloading, they told me I needed a large powder bar and I currently have a small powder bar.
The Dillon owner's manual states to use the large powder bar whenever possible. It also states that the small powder bar is for dropping 3 to 20 frains of powder and that they large powder bar is for dropping 20 to 45 grains of powder.
From the reloading data I have looked at the powder measurements are close to the end range of the small bar and the start range of the large bar.
I am curious if anyone uses the Dillon RL550B and which powder bar size you use.
