XL 650 powder check

I am reloading 223 ammo and using the Dillon powder check system. I am using the smallest rod out of the three options. The rod keeps getting stuck on the top of the case and the alarm keeps going off. If there a trick to get the rod to go into the case?

It helps to snug the jam nut on the rod with it in a case, to make sure everything lines up.

You might need to check to see if the threaded rod is straight. I have several powder checks on multiple tool heads and have found that some are bend, affecting the movement of the check system
