XL 650 Powder Measure Gouging Cases
Quote from Reloader on September 19, 2017, 10:32 pmI have an XL 650 currently set up for 9mm. Here recently when I function the machine it is either collapsing or gouging a piece out of the case. It is like it is not indexing quite far enough. However, all other dies are aligned and functioning properly. Any ideas?

Quote from Reloader on September 20, 2017, 9:17 pmEither the shellplate bolt is too loose, or the priming station locator tab is not close enough to the case to prevent it from backing out of the shellplate.
In the first instance, press down on the edge of the shellplate at station 4. If it feels springy, then the shellplate bolt needs to be tighter. In the second instance, see figure 194 on page 37 of the XL650 manual for proper adjustment.
