XL 650 Primer problem

I just converted my 650 from 45ACP to 40 S&W. The machine is crushing about 15-20% of the primers. It appears to be indexing correctly. It is also seating some of those primers in the flash hole at about a 30 degree angle.

I have taken the entire primer assembly apart, cleaned it (wasn't dirty but what the heck) and reassembled it ... no help.

Totally stumped. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks

When you converted from 45 acp to 40s&w did you change your primer system to small primers?
