XL 750 Shipping Delays?

I ordered an XL750 in 9mm over a week ago. Since the web site doesn't (yet) have a "build your own" option like the XL1050, 550, SDB pages have, I ordered the case feeder, dies, and the Powder Check separately. Yes, the web site says the Powder Check is backordered, and I can wait for that.

This is my first Dillon press, and I'm pretty excited about getting it. Except I haven't yet...

I received the case feeder Thursday and the dies on Friday. Those got here pretty darn quickly. But the press itself is still listed as "pending" (as is the backordered Powder Check).

The web page doesn't say this particular press set up is out of stock, and it isn't otherwise marked as "may be delayed".

I'm not complaining, but I am curious. Are loading machines part of the increased demand delays in the banner at the top of every Dillon web page? Is there something else going on?

Thanks for any info on this issue.

All reloading machines are part of the banner about delays. Even with working overtime, we cannot build loaders fast enough to keep up with the increased demand. On the XL750 in particular, our most popular loader, figure 3 to 4 weeks from the date you submitted your order to the date it is shipped.

Thanks for your reply. I understand that these are trying times.

My concern was based on assumptions from reading on various forums about how promptly Dillon usually shipped reloading machines. I wasn’t seeing the key point here: that the 750 is in such high demand that you can’t keep up.

I’ve been a member of a number of reloading-oriented forums for quite some time, and I felt that I’d done my homework. Historically, Dillon has been able to ship machines (that aren’t marked as back ordered) pretty quickly. I honestly felt that the “newness” of the XL750 had passed enough that I’d be able to get the press quite soon after I ordered it.

Yeah, I should have figured that the flagship products would be potentially delayed, but the banner at the top of your pages is vague enough - and mentions “in some areas” - that I thought it may have been related to shipping issues rather than manufacturing issues.

So I’ll wait. And I feel better about it because your folks are busting their butts to build the machines as quickly as humanly possible.

I just got notice that my 750 has shipped. Thanks again for calming my anxiety about this!

I ordered my press on 04/17/2020 in 223 and I have not gotten a ship notification yet.

I just took delivery of my 750. Before this week, I didn’t know that FedEx did Sunday deliveries...

Bottom line: this was to be my Fathers Day present, and it arrived on Fathers Day. I’m quite happy.

@augiet65 - I hope your received your press. I ordered the XL750 in 223 a week ago and sure hope it is not 2-3 months until received.

Same here... I ordered August 6th... now I'm concerned I might be waiting 2, 3 or more months

Everything except powder measure and machine has been recieved. Still showing pending on those items.

Ordered my 750 07/12 and still not here 6 weeks later. Called and was told 10-12 weeks in 9mm
