XL650 Only Strong Mount
Quote from Reloader on March 12, 2014, 4:01 amUsing the XL650 Strong Mount, will I need to place the mount flush with the front of the bench or can I mount it back from the edge as with the 550/650 strong mount? I want to have the press mounted as far back from the edge as possible without having to notch the bench. My order has already shipped and I am now worried that I should have ordered the 550/650 strong mount.
Thanks,
Dave

Mount your press to the strong mount before you start drilling any holes in your bench. Lower the handle all the way down and then slide the whole contraption back until the handle just clears the front of the bench. I didn't do that and now I have unused holes in my bench. I tried mounting it too far back because of ceiling clearances and then couldn't cycle it, and had to redrill the holes further forward. Just my 2 cents.
