XL650 Performance
Quote from Reloader on April 2, 2008, 10:56 pmWanted to post a success topic. I have had a 550b since the late 1980's. My son and I have reloaded 1,000's upon 1,000's of pistol and rifle rounds on that machine. It has to be the best piece of equipment that I have ever owned.
Went and purchased a new XL650 this past December. Since then I have reloaded about 3,500 30-06 rounds and will shortly complete 3,000 .223 rounds. Comparing these two machines, I really think the 650 will equal if not exceed the performance of the old 550b.
After I finish up re-loading the .223, I'm going to start a major re-size and trim on about 5,000 30-06 and around 2,000 .223's. All of the re-sizing & trimming in the past was done on the 550b. We are going to see if we can gum the case feeder up. I will post later on how well it performs.
So far the XL650 has been nothing but spectacular.
