XL650 primer feed

I have a problem with primers not feeding smoothly, and becoming jammed in the primer plate holes.

I have replaced the primer plate, all springs, primer plate actuating lever, in short every component that comes in contact with the primers.

I load maybe 10 or 15 rounds, and then a primer will jam.

I am not new to reloading, having been a shooter almost 50 years, but this one has got me stumped!

Any ideas??

Cheers,

Phil.

Which brand of primer are you using?  Large or small primer?  Rifle or Pistol primer?   Where is the primer jamming? Have you tried another brand just in case you have a bad lot?

I'm using CCi small primers with my XL 650 and find sometimes that I need to push the brass back a little to make it line up for the primer to set. Is there a adjustment to solve this problem?

Thanks for any help

Nick

I found it a station 2 the arm needed to be adjusted.

Sounds like you need to tighten the shell plate. Push down on station 4, if it feels spongy, tighten the shell plate just a little and check it again.
