If the carrtidge case fits into the gage it should fit into your chamber.

Quote from Reloader on April 25, 2008, 5:08 pmI got my case guage on thursday. I also had a guy I know trim my new brass. The empty brass fits in the case guage perfectly. I made one round with my 550b and it does the same thing (not chambering the round from any magazine. What do you think I should try next?

Quote from Reloader on April 25, 2008, 5:46 pmCheck the sized, empty case and see if it fits the chamber. Assuming it does, then the bullet is probably contacting the beginning of the rifling, causing the cartidge to not fully chamber. Try seating the bullet deeper, and color the exposed nose of the bullet with a black magic marker. Drop the bolt, extract the cartridge, and look for rifling marks on the bullet.
