Dillon's No B.S. Warranty has too much B.S.

PreviousPage 3 of 3

Dear Frogsaw,

No matter what and where you buy it there are limitations to the warranties applied. Even a no BS warranty has it's limits! While they are'nt supposed to give you any BS they don't have to take any either! Now if the decapping pins are covered under warranty then they will replace them I am sure, however if you continue to break them then this is not a faulty product but a faulty operator. This is not covered by any warranty.

Somewhere along the line reason and logic must prevail. if you are breaking that many components continually something is wrong some where. Replacing the pins is obviously not solving it. My guess is that there have been some heated discussions between you and the Dillon staff and now you are not getting any joy out of them. Perhaps if you asked Dillon to help you resolve the problem rather than replace a simple part, you would get a better response. Better yet ask them if you could return the machine with dies and ask them to look at it. Yes it's going to cost you money but at least you will have a fully working machine. Bottom line you have to ask yourself is all this aggrevation worth the cost of a few de-capping pins??

Dillon I know you can resolve this with your client and if you do you know you will have a client for life including all of us.

Regards,

Andreas

I have never had a problem with Dillon customer service. I have broken several parts over the years on my XL650 and never had any problems what so ever. Usually, the voice on the phone asks for my customer number verifies my info, and the part is in the mail. A friend of mine managed to break the casting for the handle on his 650 and Dillon replaced it no questions asked. I reload around 8000 rounds a year combined pistol and rifle ammo. Some things eventually break. Decapping pins break frequently as occasionally a berdan primed case gets picked by my wife or kids and gets lost in the mix. Bent or broken pin, not Dillon's fault. Just keep a few on hand, just in case.

It is very strange that people "hacks" say it is a just a decapping pin! Yep, so what is the problem with sending one?  No B.S. is more like a lot of B.S.  Rude customer support!!! Period!!!  Maybe they need an enema in Tech support..  They sound like they have heard it all and are callous and bitter.  Probably low paid employees that don't care anymore and upper Management that have reached their Zenith.  I haven't seen anything new in the Blue Press in years except for small stuff.

It is ironic that other Mfg's don't hesitate to send you parts and they don't tout anything and go above and beyond.  I guess I sunk way too much money into great marketing that rang hollow.

Funny, I have used Dillon equipment since they went factory direct in 1984, and I have never called and asked for anything they didn't send free, including shipping. Bitching and moaning and threatening lawsuits over a few decapping pins?  I guess that's one more example of our entitlement society.  Grow up or buy some of Lee's pot metal.

Refused to replace my CV-500, Ill take my business elsewhere. Too bad for you gettin ready to invest a nice chunk of change on upgrading my equipment.

WOW! GM offers a "Bumper to Bumper" warranty. It does NOT include brake linings or tires, they are considered wear and tear items. A set of pistol dies (dillon) even comes with a spare pin, does'nt that tell you any thing?!?!

On a more positive note, I Broke several items on my 650 last week, due to STUPIDITY and IGNORANCE, (chain reaction), got on the web site and looked up the parts, & part numbers, called Dillon (with credit card in hand), ready to pay for them. I was told by a very professional gentleman Tim V. that my issue was covered under the no BS warranty.

Now, take your little GM car and crash it into a tree (which is pretty much what I did to my press), and see how far that Bumper to Bumper warranty gets you!!!! Would you entertain litigation against GM?

I was at a local gun shop and Dillon supplier a few weeks back and purchased the spare parts kit for that just in case moment. Not less than 3 guys were laughing at me. They said that I wont need it. each of them had presses between 7 and 20 years old and had never had to use anything out of this kit.

Pony up the few bucks, buy your pins, go home and figure out what your doing wrong! If you cant figure it out, call Dillon (without an attitude), and they will help you through it.

Greg
