Got a Email from Dillon tonite, Shipment on the way...But only a $55 charge to my card...Looks like they have plenty of 40 S&W conversion kits on hand only 1wk wait too

hey... what do ya know... i got through to Dillion, only on hold for 19 minutes.. wanted to check on availabilty on a few things.. all backordered pretty much... still waiting on my order from jan 19.. figured i would ask about it when i spoke to them, the rep said "very soon"... hmmmmm? at least i got through i guess... 😉

550b in 38/357, order via Brian Enos on 2/5

Received 2/28:

Strong mount
Bullet Tray
Empty Cart Bin
Spare Parts Kit
Toolholder with wrenches
Die Lock Rings
Decap Pins

Backordered:

4 Small Primer Tubes

I feel pretty lucky to have this machine so soon, but it was in a less sought-after caliber.

Next week I will try my luck at a .45ACP conversion kit and extra small powder slide.

In the interim, time to make the bullets!

I ordered mine in 9mm.. im guessing thats the issue.. the rep said they have 45acp conversion kits in stock, 45acp dies are backorderd tho..

I hope the 45 acp dies are not back ordered. I spoke to them yesterday and was told they were sending them out today. I placed my order on Jan 14 and the only thing I am missing are the dies.

Im sure you'll have them asap, you have been in line a while... i was considering ordering them today if they were available ...

The only thing I have left on backorder is a set of .45 ACP dies. I have the machine, and have been loading 9mm with it.

Hang in there everybody! We'll get through this.

got my partial order today...not what I was expecting. 9mm& 45apc dies

6wks from date of order Thats not bad considering these trying times we're in

Thank you Dillon

I placed an order 4-28-13 for a 9mm conversion to go on my 1050XL. That was 10.5 weeks ago. After about 7.5 weeks they shipped the 9mm dies but nothing else. I've tried calling, but can never get through. I started emailing them at week 8, no answer at all. I'm on hold right now...20 minutes...not enjoying the music at all.

Good products? Sure

Customer service? Not to par. If you can't handle the increased business, hire more people!

When I originally ordered the 1050 press setup for 223, the guy on the phone was really snotty. I threatened to cancel the order then his 'manager' told me to wait a little longer. They shipped the items a few days later. That order was $3,000+ placed late December 2012 and received early February.

I like the Dillon press, but I can only get about 600 rounds an hour through it. I usually get 4 jams per 1000 rounds...at 5 minutes each that cuts out 20 minutes of loading time.

I like the Lee Collet Decapper design...helps prevent the decappers from breaking...I've already broken two of the upper machined parts that hold the Dillon decapper pin.

Hot dang, should have called sooner.

After 36 minutes of on-hold, classical music on repeat, Dennis answered the phone. He told me what item was on backorder so I cancelled it and they will ship the remainder of the order today or tomorrow. He was polite and calm.

I'm very pleased with this...too bad they couldn't have handled this via the emails I sent weeks ago. I suggest anyone reading this to call and hold.
