Question on mounting a Strong Mount
Quote from Reloader on January 30, 2013, 1:46 amI like & agree with Dillon's comment-- & if you haven't built your reloading bench yet, you might want to consider the height of your reloading bench and how tall you are since the strong mount will raise the machine up another 9-10 inches(I think?) and for some people that might be too high to operate the machine efficiently and
comfortably. My custom built reloading bench is 42" high & is perfect for me. My
strong mount front holes a 3.5" from front edge of bench. Hope it helps.

One thing I will suggest (stress) is to make sure that your bench is STURDY. As I was limited on space (OK, that my wife would allow....) I built mine into the back of my closet and put on bi-fold doors. I used 2X12 sides with shelves above (1X8s) and to one side with the actual bench top made of 2X14 grade A pine, double thickness. I then anchored to the floor (two spots) and the wall (four spots). There is no flex at all. I can slide my chair under the bench and close the closet doors.
