XL 650 Sticking Problems

PreviousPage 3 of 3

I just had the same problem this morning reloading 9mm. Loud thump and powder spills. The problem is the brass case is sticking to the powder drop/case bevel tube. This happens when you are using new brass or super clean used brass. The solution is line up your brass, base down, on a cookie sheet. Spray the brass at a forty five degree angle with Hornady One Shot. This coats the inside rim of the brass. One Shot is not greasy, does not have to be cleaned off and will not degrade the powder. I couldn’t believe how much smoother and easier it made the XL 650 operation.

When I was having the problem of the case sticking on the powder funnel I started using car wash with carnuba wax in my sonic cleaner and that stoped it.
I also had a problem with the powder measure making a loud noise when the plastic sleeve wore out and it was flopping around.
